Lambourn man George Dunne denies threatening woman

A MAN is to go on trial accused of putting a woman in fear of violence.

George Dunne appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 24.

The 33-year-old, of Folly Road, Lambourn, is charged with harassing Lara Malcolm in the Hungerford postal area on Saturday, February 22.

Specifically, he is said to have caused her to fear that unlawful violence would be used against her by turning up at her home, entering it and making threats towards her.

Mr Dunne spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.

He was told the case could proceed no further that day and that it would be adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Dunne was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
