Reading Magistrates' Court: Greenham man denies forcing his way into home
A MAN has been accused of using violence to force his way into someone's home.
The 32-year-old has also been charged with assault.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 11, was Matthew Stevens, who lives at Pigeons Farm Road, Greenham.
Specifically, Mr Stevens is accused of using violence to get into a person's home in Denham Drive, Newbury, on Tuesday, January 25, knowing that a person inside did not want him to gain access.
He is also accused of assaulting Daniel Stead by beating him on the same occasion.
Mr Stevens spoke only to confirm his details and to deny both charges.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and magistrates adjourned both matters for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Stevens was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
