Man dies after medical episode on A4 in Thatcham this morning (Thurs)

His name and address have not yet been confirmed by Thames Valley Police. His next of kin have been informed.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Connie Primmer, said this afternoon (Thursday): "This was not a collision. It is being treated as a sudden death.
"It appears that the driver of the vehicle had some kind of medical episode.
The man was said to be in a life-threatening condition when he was taken by ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, according to South Central Ambulance (SCAS) spokeswoman Catherine Morrow. He was later declared dead.
The A4 was closed for a time at the Gables Way roundabout.
The emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 8.50am and the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance was also sent to the scene.
