Man dies at scene of Whitchurch collision today (Thurs)
According to Hampshire Constabulary, police were called at 06.20am to a two car collision at Larks Barrow Hill on the Newbury Road in Whitchurch.
A White Ford Escort van was involved in a collision with an A-class Mercedes.
The man driving the Ford Escort died at the scene.
Four other men who were travelling in the Mercedes were being treated for injuries. Two sustained life threatening injuries, the other two people sustained non-life threatening injuries.
They have been taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
Road closures are in place at the Newbury Road junction with Cole Henley Road to Litchfield are expected to be so for the next few hours while an investigation is undertaken.
Local diversions are in place.
