Man charged in connection with New Year’s Day assault in Tadley

A man has been charged with two assault offences after an altercation in the early hours of New Year ’s Day.

Anthony Price, 61, of Hangar Road, Tadley, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.

Officers were called to a report of an incident in Hangar Road, Tadley at 1.24am on Wednesday (January 1).

The report said that two men, both in their 60s, had been assaulted, but there were no serious injuries.

Officers attended the incident and made an arrest.

Mr Price is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
