Man due to appear in Reading Magistrates' Court on historic indecent assault charges




A man is due to be charged with historic indecent assault offences.

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, Dr Robin Borthwick, aged 78, of Southend Road in Bradfield, will be charged with five counts of indecent assault on one victim, a boy.

Mr Borthwick was arrested on November 10, 2021 and was served with a postal requisition on November 30, this year.

He is due to be formally charged with the offences at Reading Magistrates’ Court on December 28.

The charges relate to indecent assault offences that alledgedly occurred in the 1970s and 1980s in Reading.
