Newbury man Chris Terry facing 10 child sex charges

A MAN has been sent to the crown court on multiple child sex charges.

Chris Terry appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 10.

The 71-year-old, of Coachmans Court, Newbury, faces 10 counts of sexually abusing children aged between six and 13 years.

The assaults were said to have happened on various dates in the 1970s and 1980s.

Mr Terry, who was legally represented at the hearing by Beth Vaughan, was told the case was being sent to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury.

He was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
