A man is to go on trial for offences including assaulting a couple and making a death threat.
Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing into the case against David Mills last December 27.
The 38-year-old, of Norris Field, Chaddleworth, faces three charges in all.
Specifically, he is accused of assaulting Ashleigh Edwards by beating her.
Next, Mr Mills is charged with assaulting Craig Edwards by beating him.
Finally, he is accused of making threats to kill in respect of Ashleigh Edwards.
All the above offences were said to have been committed in Newbury last November 23.
Magistrates adjourned all the above matters until a later date when Mr Mills, who was legally represented at the hearing by Gianpaolo Damiani, will be expected to attend and to enter pleas to all charges.
He was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
