David Wogan of Winterbourne charged with intentional strangulation offence against woman in Hungerford
A MAN has been sent to the crown court accused of intentionally strangling a woman.
David Wogan is also charged with a range of related offences in Hungerford.
The 30-year-old, of Woodlark Road, Winterbourne, appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 13.
Specifically, he is charged with intentionally strangling Icicle Crumplin-Hill on Monday, February 19.
Next, Mr Wogan is accused of assaulting Ms Crumplin-Hill, thereby causing her actual bodily harm, on Monday, July 29.
Next, he is accused of causing criminal damage to her property on December 14 last year.
Finally, Mr Wogan is charged with causing criminal damage to Ms Crumplin-Hill’s mobile phone on Saturday, August 10.
All the above offences were said to have been committed in Hungerford.
Mr Wogan, who was legally represented at the preliminary hearing by Heulwen Everton, was told the case was being sent to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting st Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Mr Wogan was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
