Dean Adlem from Hungerford faces child sex charges
A MAN has been sent to the crown court on child sex charges.
Dean Adlem appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 24.
The 43-year-old, of Priory Close, Hungerford, faces two charges of intentionally touching a girl under the age of 13 years, the touching being sexual.
One alleged offence involved him groping her bottom and the other, her genitals.
Both offences are said to have occurred in Hungerford on a single, specific date last year.
Mr Adlem, who was legally represented at the hearing by Jeremy Yuille, spoke only to confirm his details.
District judge Samuel Goozee told him the case was being sent to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Mr Adlem was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
