The 47-year-old, of Claremont Crescent, Newbury, faces two charges.

They are:

* Being concerned in the supply of the Class A-controlled drug in Newbury on or before October 6, 2020.

* Acquiring, using or having possession of criminal property, namely £58,693, being the proceeds of drug dealing, in Newbury between April 1, 2018 and November 30, 2020.

Magistrates declined further jurisdiction and sent the case to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Skelcher was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
