Burghfield Common man Edgaras Miksys charged with strangling woman
A man has been sent to the crown court on charges including intentional strangulation.
Edgaras Miksys appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 8.
The 39-year-old, of Charlie Brown Road in Burghfield Common, is charged with intentionally strangling Vitalija Krikciunaite.
He also faces a charge of assaulting Ms Krikciunaite by beating her.
Furthermore Mr Miksys faces two charges of assaulting a police woman by beating her.
All the offences were said to have happened on Tuesday, May 6, in Burghfield Common.
Magistrates declined further jurisdiction and sent all the above matters to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
Mr Miksys, who was legally represented by Catherine Brymer, was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
