Brimpton man facing domestic violence charges, Thomas Holden-Taylor, is locked up




A MAN has been sent to the crown court in custody on charges of coercive control and domestic violence.

Thomas Holden-Taylor appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 1.

The 47-year-old, of Crookham Common Road, Brimpton, is charged with repeatedly engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards his victim which he knew would have a serious affect on her between January 1, 2016 and January 31 this year.

In addition he is accused of threatening to kill her on January 30.

Next, Mr Holden-Taylor faces two charges of assaulting her by beating her, once on January 30 and again on January 31.

Finally, he is accused of a perpetrating a common assault on her in Brimpton on January 31.

Mr Holden-Taylor, who was legally represented at the hearing by Alan Walker, was told that all the above matters would be sent to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury on a date to be fixed.

Mr Holden-Taylor was meanwhile denied bail and was remanded in custody.
