Man fined for threatening behaviour

penalty increased for homophobic element

A NEWBURY man has been fined for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

Joshua Kieran Eaton, aged 19, currently of no fixed address, admitted committing the offence in Newbury on May 28.

Reading magistrates fined him £75 and ordered him to pay a total of £85 costs.

The bench told Mr Eaton they had increased his fine by 50 per cent because of the homophobic element to the threats he made.
