Newbury man Denis Andrews guilty of Pangbourne weapons offences
A MAN is awaiting sentence on weapons charges.
Denis Andrews had denied possessing an air rifle in public, but was convicted of the offence.
The 42-year-old, of Cherry Close, Newbury, was also convicted of possessing a sword and a detachable, two-blade sword in public.
All the above offences were committed in Pangbourne on Tuesday, July 4.
On Monday, October 23, Reading magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared.
Mr Andrews, who was legally represented at the hearing by Nathaniel Ikeazor, was told these were to be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.
District judge Samuel Goozee meanwhile released him on bail with conditions.
