Man goes missing near River Kennet in Theale

EMERGENCY services were called after a man went missing close to the River Kennet in Theale this morning (Sat).
Fire, ambulance and police were all called to the scene at Wigmore Lane shortly after midnight.
Fire crews including a water rescue unit and control vehicle from Caversham Road attended, along with fire engines from Dee Road, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road.
It is believed that the search for the missing man is continuing this morning.
