Man hospitalised following two car crash near Lambourn




Passenger sustains neck and spinal injuries

A man was cut free from a car by firefighters, following a collision last night (Friday).

Firefighters from Newbury were dispatched to the scene of the crash, involving a VW Polo and a BMW, on the B4000 near Lambourn at 6.30pm.

The roof of the BMW had be cut off in order to free the trapped passenger.

Crew manager Cunningham said that the man was taken to hospital with neck and spinal injuries.

He added that the people in the Polo and the driver of the BMW were not injured.

The rescue operation lasted three hours.
