Man in court charged with grooming Thatcham girl

Jason Nicholas Trower, aged 25, of Brands Meadow, Muxton, Telford, Shropshire, initially appeared before Newbury magistrates on February 27, when he was committed to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday.
He is charged with meeting a girl aged under 16 years, who can not be identified for legal reasons, following grooming; specifically that he, having on at least two occasions met or communicated with the girl, not reasonably believing she was aged 16 or over, intentionally met her intending to do something which, if done, would have involved the commission of sexual activity with a child.
Mr Trower spoke only to confirm his details and did not enter a plea.
He was released on bail until June 16.
