Reading Magistrates' Court: Man sent to crown court on Mortimer Co-op robbery charges
A MAN has appeared in court in connection with a Co-op store robbery.
The incident happened in the Mortimer store on December 16 last year.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, December 16, was Robert Hearn.
The 33-year-old, of College Piece, Mortimer, is accused of robbing Co-op employee Chris Banks of £385 cash.
He is further charged with possessing a Stanley knife, stealing £20 worth of alcohol and damaging six bottles of wine together worth £33, all on the same occasion.
Magistrates declined to give Mr Hearn bail and sent all the above matters to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury on a date to be fixed.
