Reading Magistrates’ Court: Newbury man on Pangbourne weapons charges




A MAN has been accused of possessing a gun and swords in public.

Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing into the case against Denis Andrews on Wednesday, July 7.

The 42-year-old, of Cherry Close, Newbury, is charged with possessing a sword, an air rifle and a detachable, two-blade sword.

All the above offences were said to have been committed in Pangbourne on Tuesday, July 4.

Mr Andrews, who was legally represented at the hearing by Sotiris Yiakoumi, was told the case could proceed no further that day and it was adjourned until a future date.

Mr Andrews was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
