Reading Crown Court: Lambourn man in crown court on indecent images charges
A MAN accused of having indecent images of children in defiance of a court order has appeared at Reading Crown Court.
Geraint Elleschild is accused of possessing an indecent image of a child in Category A.
This category includes the most serious images such as child rape.
In addition the 60-year-old, who was living at Tubbs Farm Close in Lambourn, is charged with possessing an indecent image of a child in Category C.
He is further charged with failing to disclose his possession of a computer hard drive and of failing to disclose his possession of an iPad, both in defiance of the terms of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order he was subject to.
All the above offences were said to have been committed in Berkshire on Wednesday, March 8.
At the preliminary hearing on Monday, Mr Elleschild, who wore a grey shirt and grey pullover, spoke only to confirm his details.
Divya Puri, defending, said her client planned to deny the charges and Judge Heather Norton adjourned the case until June when Mr Elleschild will be expected to enter formal pleas.
In the case of not guilty pleas, a trial will be scheduled for August, said Judge Norton.
Mr Elleschild was meanwhile remanded back into custody.
