Reading Magistrates' Court: Theale man in serious assault case refused bail

A MAN accused of assaulting a woman has been remanded in custody and the case sent to the crown court.

The 25-year-old appeared for a preliminary hearing at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, September 28.

Lee Brennan is accused of assaulting Robyn Winser by beating her two days previously.

Mr Brennan, of Leonard Court, off James Butcher Drive in Theale, was told that the court was declining further jurisdication.

The case was sent to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the case of a trial, by a jury.

He was meanwhile refused bail ,and was remanded into custody.
