Woman walking her dog in Great Pen Wood was followed by a man who then committed a sexual act

PENWOOD villagers have been advised to be on their guard, after a man was seen exposing himself in the area.

Hampshire Constabulary said that between 2pm and 3pm on Tuesday (January 17) a woman was walking her dog in Great Pen Wood when she noticed a man come out of the bushes. He was committing a sexual act.

The man followed her for a short distance and then disappeared.

The man has been described as white, of a medium build and height and with scruffy brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark-green tracksuit bottoms and mustard-coloured jacket, or top.

Pc Colin Jackson said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has noticed anything suspicious in this area or has seen a man matching this description.

“At this stage we believe this to be an isolated case, however, I would encourage people to report anything suspicious to police as soon as possible.”
