Wickham man John Heenan accused of witness intimidation in Upper Bucklebury

A MAN has been accused of perverting the course of justice by witness intimidation.
On Monday, September 11, Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing into the case against John Heenan.
The 38-year-old, of Mant Close, Wickham, is charged with verbally threatening Lucy Karpinski to intimidate her into withdrawing her co-operation from an investigation into an offence in which she was a witness in the proceedings at Roundfield, Upper Bucklebury, on Monday, July 31.
Magistrates adjourned proceedings until a later date when Mr Heenan, who was legally represented at the hearing by Gianpaolo Damiani, will be expected to enter a plea to the single charge.
He was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
