Newbury man Robert Jones cleared of sending offensive message

A MAN has been acquitted of sending an offensive message.
Robert Jones appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 11.
The 43-year-old, of Cherry Close, Newbury, had pleaded not guilty to causing a grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing electronic message to be sent in Newbury on Christmas Day, 2022.
He was told the case would be discontinued and he was formally found not guilty of the single offence.
