Mortimer man Timothy Ing-Simmons convicted of sexual voyeurism
A MAN convicted of a voyeurism offence has been ordered to pay his victim £1,000 compensation.
Timothy Ing-Simmons appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 6.
The 62-year-old, of St John’s Road, Mortimer, admitted watching a person do a private act on a date in November, 2021, knowing that the person did not consent to being observed for his sexual gratification.
Mr Ing-Simmons, who was legally represented at the hearing by Mason Waker, was made subject to a 12-month community order.
Under its terms he must complete 100 hours of unpaid community work and complete up to 35 days of rehabilitation activity.
He must also sign the Sex Offenders Register for five years.
In addition, district judge Samuel Goozee ordered Mr Ing-Simmons to pay £85 costs.
Finally, he was ordered to pay £1,000 compensation to his victim in lieu of an otherwise statutory victim services surcharge.
