A MAN who denied a public order offence has been found guilty.
Mark McClaren appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 17.
The 49-year-old, of The Millards, Kintbury, denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Kintbury on May 30.
But he was found guilty following a trial.
McClaren was fined £180.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £200 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £72.
Magistrates declined to make a compensation order because of the circumstances of the case.
