Newbury man Nicholas Heavingham, 33, of Newtown Road, jailed for 23 weeks after pleading guilty to one count of driving whilst disqualified




A Newbury man has been jailed for nearly half a year after being caught driving while disqualified.

Nicholas Heavingham, aged 33, of Newtown Road, pleaded guilty to one count of driving whilst disqualified last Thursday (February 1).

At the same hearing, he was sentenced to 23 weeks in prison, disqualified from driving for an additional year and ordered to pay fines of £239.

At around 1.20pm on Wednesday, January 31, Heavingham was seen driving a Range Rover Evoque on the A4 Bath Road.

He was known to be disqualified from driving at the time.

Heavingham was arrested and charged on the same day.
