Man loses part of ear after brutal Mortimer assault





The assault occurred on Saturday at 11.30pm on West End Road and police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack.
According to Thames Valley Police a 57-year old and a 21-year old, both males, were set upon by two unidentified offenders after being introduced to the pair by a woman who they both knew.
The older victim was punched repeatedly and when the younger man tried to intervene he was then punched in the face. The 57-year old who remains in hospital has been left with internal injuries, fractured ribs and part of his ear bitten off.
The younger victim also suffered a broken jaw, as well as bruises and abrasions to his head.
The two offenders are described as both white and in their early twenties with short black hair. One was 6ft, tall and slim with a local accent and wearing a white hooded coat, jeans and trainers. The other was 5ft 10ins with a stocky build and wearing a black hooded top.
