Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man made Facebook threats

A MAN has been sentenced for making a threat via Facebook.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 16, was Jacob Oakley.
The 20-year-old, of St John's Road, Newbury, admitted sending a threatening message via Facebook messenger to Timothy Shallcross in Thatcham on October 11 last year.
Mr Oakley was made subject to a 12-month conditional discharge.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £95.
