A MAN has been remanded in custody on a charge of home burglary.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, July 15, was Michael Da Silva.
The 40-year-old, of Northway, Newbury, is accused of entering a home in The Maltings, Newbury, on Saturday, July 9, and stealing a television.
At the preliminary hearing magistrates declined further jurisdiction and sent the case to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury.
Mr Da Silva was meanwhile denied bail and was remanded in custody.
