There, five charges were put to the 22-year-old, of Enborne Road, Newbury.

Specifically, Mr Farmborough is charged with sexually grooming then meeting a male child with the intent of committing an offence.

Next, he is charged with an offence of voyeurism – observing, for sexual gratification, another person doing a private act, knowing that the person did not consent to being observed.

Thirdly, Mr Farmborough is accused of engaging in sexual communication with a child.

Fourth, he is accused of sending a boy photographs and film of a person’s genitals.

Finally, Mr Farmborough is charged with paying for the sexual services of a child.

All the above offences were said to have happened either in Newbury or in Eastbourne, Sussex, on various dates between September and November.

Mr Farmborough, who was legally represented by Jeremy Yuille, was told all the above matters would be sent to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Magistrates meanwhile refused to grant bail and Mr Farmborough was remanded in custody.
