Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man on sex assault charge denied bail




A MAN has been remanded in custody, accused of indecently assaulting another male.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 28, was Rhys Lewendon-Kirkwood.

The 26-year-old, of Audley Close, Newbury, is accused of committing a sexual assault on a male in Newbury on Saturday, July 23.

Mr Lewendon-Kirkwood, who was legally represented by Adonis Daniel, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.

District judge Samuel Goozee told him the case could proceed no further that day and he was adjourning it for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Lewendon-Kirkwood was meanwhile denied bail and remanded into custody.
