Man punched in face and ribs during Newbury robbery





At around 9.25pm, a 51-year-old man was walking from Newbury Retail Park, near the overbridge on the A339, when he was approached by three men.
They punched him in the face, which caused him to fall to the ground, and then punched him in the ribs.
While he lay on the ground they searched his pockets then left, taking his rucksack with them.
The rucksack was blue and black and had Sport written on the side, it contained a wallet which had £18 in it.
The men were white, approximately 21 to 30-years of age, medium build and approximately 6ft.
The first offender was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers.
He had a local accent.
The second wore a dark hooded top, and dark trousers.
