Man assaulted and robbed while walking his dog in broad daylight
A MAN has been assaulted and robbed in Tadley while walking his dog in the early morning.
According to Hampshire Constabulary, sometime on Tuesday, August 23, between 8.55am and 9.30am, a 46-year-old man was walking with his white and brown lurcher dog in woodland behind Tadley swimming pool in New Road, when he was approached by a man and assaulted.
The victim said he saw another man acting as a lookout and demands were made for him to hand over his dog.
The men then left the area and the victim noticed his wallet, containing about £70 in cash, was missing. His dog was not taken.
The first man is described as white, about 5ft 8ins and of a stocky build. He's thought to be in his mid 30s and was wearing a waterproof dark-blue tracksuit top with the hood up and faded blue tracksuit trousers.
The second man was described as white, aged 15 or 16 and of a skinny build. He was wearing a light-grey tracksuit top and bottoms and seemed nervous.
The victim sustained several grazes to his face and an injury to his cheekbone.
