Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man sent to crown court on drug dealing charges

A MAN has been sent to the crown court on charges including dealing in Class A-controlled drugs.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 27, was Jack Alder.

The 25-year-old, of Hamilton Court, Newbury, faces four charges.

He is accused of possessing the Class A-controlled drug cocaine in Newbury on August 19, 2019, with intent to supply it and with having £3,250 in ill-gotten cash on the same occasion.

Mr Alder is also accused of possessing the Class B-controlled drug ketamine in Newbury on September 22, 2019.

Finally, he is charged with possessing criminal property, namely a Rolex watch, in Newbury on August 19, 2019.

Magistrates adjourned all matters, which will now be dealt with by a judge and, in the case of a trial, by a jury, sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Alder was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
