Padworth man Sheldon Ross sent to Crown Court on knife charge
A MAN has been sent to the Crown Court charged with threatening a woman with a kitchen knife.
Sheldon Ross appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 19.
Specifically, the 27-year-old, of Fallows Road, Padworth, is accused of threatening Tia Weston with the blade at his home address on October 10 last year in such a way that there was an immediate risk of serious physical harm to her.
Mr Ross, who was legally represented at the hearing by Adonis Daniel, is further charged with assaulting Ms Weston by beating her on the same occasion.
Magistrates sent both matters to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury.
Mr Ross was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
