Reading Magistrates’ Court: Greenham man sent vile message in Newbury

A MAN has been sentenced for publishing a disgusting online post.
Michael Geater appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 29.
At a previous hearing the 28-year-old, of Greenham Close, Greenham, admitted sending an electronic message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character in Newbury on December 16 last year.
On Tuesday Mr Geater, who was legally represented at the hearing by Robert Jacques, was made subject to a 12-month community order.
Under its terms he must complete a Building Better Relationships programme.
In addition, Mr Geater was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
