Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man sentenced for assault

A MAN has been ordered to compensate the man he assaulted.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, February 8, was Jake Taylor.

The 32-year-old, of Market Place, Newbury, admitted assaulting Samuel Braham by beating him in Newbury on July 5 last year.

Mr Taylor was made subject to a 12-month community order and required to complete 80 hours' unpaid community work.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.

Finally, Mr Taylor was ordered to pay Mr Braham £125 compensation.
