Calcot man George Bridges sentenced for assaults
A MAN has been convicted of violence and public order offences.
George Bridges appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 11.
The 26-year-old, of Balfour Drive, Calcot, admitted Darren Halvorsen by beating him.
He further admitted two chargers of assaulting police officers.
Next, Bridges admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
A charge of assaulting Bailey-Lee Hurley was withdrawn.
All the above offences were committed in Reading on December 20 last year.
Bridges was fined £700.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs and £50 in compensation to Mr Halvorsen in lieu of an otherwise statutory victim services surcharge.
