Newbury man Joseph Strough sentenced for cannabis offences




A man has been sentenced for being caught with cannabis - twice.

Joseph Strough appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 8.

The 32-year-old, of Carcaixent Square, Newbury, admitted possessing the Class B controlled drug in both its resinous form and leaf form in Newbury on April 21.

He admitted committing an identical offence in Newbury on December 24 last year.

Magistrates made Strough, who was legally represented by Adonis Daniel, subject to a six months conditional discharge.

In addition they ordered him to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £26.
