Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man exposed himself in Victoria Park

A MAN has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for exposing himself in Newbury's Victoria Park skatepark area.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, July 6, was Balint Batai.

The 35-year-old, of Grange Court, off Boundary Road in Newbury, admitted deliberately exposing his genitals, intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress on Saturday, April 9.

Mr Batai was made subject to an 18 month community order.

Under the terms of the order he must complete 80 hours unpaid community work and abstain from alcohol until October 3.

The alcohol ban will be monitored by a special electronic tag device.

Furthermore Mr Batai was required to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £95.

Finally, he was required to be on the Sex Offenders Register for five years.
