Police appeal for witnesses after serious road traffic collision in Burghfield

Police are seeking witnesses to a serious road traffic collision.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man sustained life-threatening injuries in a road traffic collision in Burghfield early this morning.

At approximately 1.30am today (Thursday), a blue Volkswagen Fox was driving on Goring Lane when it left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

The driver, a man in his 50s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Senior investigating officer police sergeant Martin York, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision or who may have dash-cam footage to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.”
