Appeal: Man left with ‘potentially life-changing injuries’ after three bike crash on M4 between Chieveley and Theale




Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious crash between three motorcyclists shut both directions of the M4 last night (Monday).

A 21-year-old man, riding a red Honda, remains in hospital in a serious condition after sustaining potentially life-changing injuries.

The crash happened at 8.24pm on the eastbound section between Junction 13 (Chieveley) and Junction 12 (Theale).

The two other motorcyclists, both riding black Hondas, were not seriously hurt.

Investigating officer PC Alex Jarratt, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This collision has occurred in the early evening on a busy stretch of the M4.

“I am appealing for anybody who witnessed this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.”

Police are urging anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference 43250312470.

They are also interested in hearing from anyone who was driving in the area who may have dash-cam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.
