Man suffers slashed arms and chest in Calcot
Police believe man was wounded inside a house in Calcot
POLICE are investigating after a man was found in Calcot with knife wounds on his arms and chest.
The man, who is aged 33 but has not been identified, knocked on the front door of a house in Sweet Blair Drive shortly after 5am this morning (Friday) and asked for help.
He was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and has since been released.
Thames Valley Police officers said they believe that he was attacked inside a house in Calcot and a man was arrested there this afternoon.
He is currently in custody at Loddon Valley police station.
Det Insp Carl Borges, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and we are still trying to work out exactly what has happened.”
