Man sustains broken nose in Newbury attack
An 18-year-old man was pushed and punched by a gang in Turnpike Road in the early hours of Saturday morning
A MAN sustained a broken nose after he was approached by a gang while walking home with a friend on the Turnpike Estate in the early hours of Saturday morning (February 5).
The victim, an 18-year-old man, was walking home from a friend's house with a 17-year-old boy when they were approached by a group of six people in Turnpike Road, one of whom demanded they hand over their mobile phones and turned out their pockets.
The rest of the group then started pushing and punching the 18-year-old victim, leaving him with a broken nose.
Police have released descriptions of two men they are looking to talk to in connection with the incident.
The first is a white man, aged between 17 and 21, who is approximately 6ft 2ins and slim. At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up covering his hair, a dark coloured scarf covering the bottom half of his face and dark gloves, while he is also said to have a deep voice.
The second man is described as white, between 16 and 18-years-old, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins, and of medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded top and a dark coloured scarf around his face.
