Man taken to hospital after A4 Padworth accident




Incident near Ufton Nervet turn-off

A man was taken to hospital during the early hours of this morning (Wed) after an accident on the A4 Padworth, near Ufton Nervet.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) spokeswoman, Michelle Archer, said one ambulance crew was called at 5.10am to a single vehicle accident on the A4 Padworth, near the turn-off to Ufton Nervet.

A man was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, in Reading, with no further information available from the ambulance service as to his injuries.

A Reading fire crew was also called to the scene at 5,30am, where firefighters discovered a car on the verge, with damage to the front.

Firefighters, whose assistance was not required, therefore departed the scene after ten minutes, after leaving the incident in the hands of paramedics.
