Reading Magistrates' Court: Lambourn man threatened to torch woman's flat

A MAN has been convicted of assaulting a woman and threatening to burn her home down.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 17, was Ashley Partridge.

The 31-year-old, of Mill Lane, Lambourn, admitted assaulting Jodie Partridge by beating her.

He also admitted threatening to burn her flat down, intending that she would fear the threat would be carried out.

Both offences were committed in Reading on Tuesday, May 3.

Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared on an 'all options' basis, including custody.

Mr Partridge was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
