The 29-year-old, whose address was given as care of Wordsworth Road in Thatcham, is accused of stalking Chloe Conado in April in such a way that, on at least two occasions, she feared that violence would be used against her, and by attending her address on multiple occasions.

He is also charged with causing criminal damage by destroying a glass door panel belonging to Ms Conado in Thatcham on Saturday, April 8.

Mr DaSilva spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to both charges.

He was told the case could proceed no further that day and that it would be adjourned while a trial was arranged.

District judge Samuel Goozee meanwhile released Mr DaSilva on bail with conditions.
