Craig Wild from Newbury used stolen bank card to get alcohol and cigarettes
A MAN has been sentenced for a bank card fraud.
Craig Wild appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 11.
The Newbury 34-year-old, currently said to be of no fixed address, admitted stealing a Barclays Bank card belonging to Geraldine Sparks in Thatcham on July 28 last year.
He further admitted dishonestly using a bank card to obtain alcohol and tobacco worth £52 from a Thatcham service station on July 30 last year.
District judge Samuel Goozee made Wild subject to an 18-month conditional discharge.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £26.
No order was made for compensation, said Judge Goozee, because the prosecution had provided insufficient details to enable him to do so.
